I dropped several nations from the original list of USA peers. I dropped Slovakia, France, Poland and Bulgaria. They fit the criteria, but I had some feedback indicating that the US didn't want to be compared with those nations. I think it was because those nations tend to have much better results than the rest of the group.

As a concept, the peer nation approach never got much traction, though I've found it interesting and I've learned a lot from it.
