Occassional thoughts about orienteering
Tuesday, October 16, 2007
Another little project I'll probably never get around toI was reading a log on Attackpoint today and thought, "X comes across as really confident." I've also read logs where I thought, "Y person seems to be down on themselves all the time." For some logs that I read all the time, I've had the impression that their log seems to change over time (perhaps reflecting raising or lowering confidence?).
It got me to wondering about whether I'd learn anything if I took a systematic look at some logs and try to pay careful attention to the writing. Maybe something as simple as counting the different words would tell me something.
If I plugged a couple of people logs into an online "content analysis" web page would I find out anything interesting?
I'll put this on my list of "things to do when I'm really bored and don't have anything better to do."

My AP definitely fluctuates depending on my results. A good evening of volleyball makes me feel good. A bad weekend of orienteering makes me overly critical.Post a Comment
