I really liked the course at the time. On consideration I am less sure that 8-9 is a fair leg. With the water in the marshes higher than mapped, it's unclear how slow the left-hand route is, since it involves crossing something that might or might not be impassable / really slow.
It was a lot of fun to run this, though. Apart from 8-9 it was probably the best course I've run in years.
Glad to hear you liked the course william. I made sure to check the left-hand approach to #9 (between the two uncrossable marshes) a couple of weeks before the meet, and it was fine -- just enough water to make your feet a little damp. That's why I mentioned in the course notes that "crossing any water feature marked as crossable should not be a problem."
