More video
I just found Alessio Tenani's CatchingFeatures video. Worth a look. If I understand Google's translation of the original Italian, the map is a JWOC training area.
I guess I'll have to load this one to my player...but I should probably stop looking at it and go to work.
Hi Michael, that's actually the video I made for an article at World of O, http://news.worldofo.com/2006/11/10/to-jwoc-with-catching-features-video/ which I think Alessio writes in his Italian text as well;) You can read about the map in the WoO article as well.
And check out the comments on Jan's article. The CF representation of the terrain is not very realistic. Aussie granite terrain has lots more, and bigger rocks, more trees and shrubs, and a lot of the ground is stony underfoot, with fallen timber. There was a Youtube video posted on Attack Point by some Aussies a couple of weeks ago showing orienteering in terrain similar to JWOC.
