Data acquisition
I ran today's O' race with my GPS. It seems like there must be something interesting to do with the data. But, I can't think of what. Still, it is kind of fun to look at the tracks.
The below image shows my speed. The color scheme is based on light, in order from slowest to fastest: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
The below image shows the slope. Red is flat. Violet would be very, very steep.

If you find yourself in Paris, you should make the trip down to Fontainebleau and explore some of the O' maps. Here is an Estonian blog with some scans of Fontainebleau maps to give you an idea of the terrain.
