Click the image for a higher resolution image of my heart rate and altitude for a race in Wyoming. You can see dips in the hr curve when I drank some water at number 4, as I approached the 9th control slowly and carefully, and when I boomed the 10th control. You can also see a long climb from just past the 4th control to about the 9th control. That was a tough climb...especially given the altitude of about 8000 feet above sea level.
