I'm not up to translating the whole article. But, here are a few of the points they make:
Orienteers, like cross country skiers (Langrenn.com is a x-c ski web page) compete in varied terrain, going up hill, downhill and flat.
Bjornsgaard trains 14-20 hours a week in the off season. He includes cross country skiing.
In recent years, orienteers have been specializing more on running in the terrain. Compared to a few years ago, orienteers now are slower at running on the roads or track.
One type of interval training Bjornsgaard does is 60 x 1 minute with 20 seconds of rest.
Well, there is more to the article and maybe I'll get around to translating the whole thing some day.
