An interesting toy

Take a look at Garmin's latest toy, the Forerunner 2001.

The Forerunner is a big watch/small GPS that is being marketed as a training tool. I can't imagine it'd make you a better runner or orienteer. But, toys can be fun to play with. And having fun can make you a better runner or orienteer.

One of the features is a "virtual training partner." Apparently you program the watch with goals (pace and distance, I guess) and then it tracks your progress. The watch displays a little stick figure and how close you are to your virtual training partner. Weird. But, maybe kinda cool in a strange sort of way.

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbour were preparing to do some research about that. We got a good book on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your information. I am very glad to see such information which I was searching for a long time. This made very glad

I must say that overall I am really impressed with this blog.It is easy to see that you are passionate about your writing. If only I had your writing ability I look forward to more updates and will be returning.

I was studying something else about this on another blog. Interesting, your position on it is diametrically contradicted to what I read before. I'm still contemplating over the various points of view, but I'm tipped heavily toward yours. And regardless, that's what is so good about modern democracy and the marketplace of thoughts on-line.

This is a great guide, im pleased I came across. I have been trying to find guest writters for my personal blogs so if you ever decide thats something you are interested in please feel free to contact me. I will be back to look at out more of your articles later!
