I took a short run on the bike trails at Clinton State Park today. The summer vegetation is out. You can't see much more than 15 meters into the forest in any direction. It is disorienting.
The MTB trails I was on were fine. I'd recommend parking by the overlook rather than the corps office. At the overlook, you can start on the MTB trails. From the corps office you have to do a couple of hundred meters on a walking trail (which was NOT trimmed of high grass).
I ran on the river trails on Friday and they'd just been mowed.
Are the trails trimmed enough to run in shorts? No spider webs yet?
